Climate change China to uphold the principles
November 17, 2009/Dong Xiucheng
At present, climate change issues into global hot issues, many countries are concerned about China's participation in the international negotiating process and China's attitude problem of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
However, the world should also concern the developed countries should do, whether they have responsibilities and obligations of its duty to have promised, main should be how to assume the responsibilities and obligations of developed countries, rather than focus on the development of China, including China National emission reduction issues.
We Chinese people like to do most of the world, you can say is the world's most populous country, is the largest developing country in the world, is one of the oldest civilization in the world, has the world's highest mountain and longest city walls in the world, hoping to become the world's largest economies. But as a civilized country, we Chinese certainly don't want to be the world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases.
Therefore, China as a responsible economic powers, want and willing to make efforts to tackle climate change, which requires absolutely no doubt, we suspect that is the political will of the developed countries and of their own efforts.
Under development are at a stage of industrialization in China, from the technical level and financial strength is difficult to assume primary responsibility therefore imposed in China a emissions ceiling was unfair and unrealistic. International cooperation requires negotiations need to compromise, but principled stand does not compromise.
